Baby Project #3

Easy garter stitch cuff to cuff baby sweater in red. One arm is done, stitches for the front are on a holder and I'm making my way across the back. I chose this pattern so that I could avoid piecing together arms and fronts and such. I guess from here I can only go up to more interesting patterns. I won't be in the same boat as my bib. Which, I should probably knit a couple more of those.

Now red is a good uni-sex color. I love red. I have red all over the house - walls, couch, blankets, etc. It's our "color" for our wedding and since the wedding will be at our house it will already have red touches everywhere. Bought a book yesterday at B&N - Offbeat Bride. It's the closest reference/idea book I could find that seemed appropriate for our non-traditional wedding. Non-traditional in the sense that we've stripped it of all the pomp and circumstance - that's just not our style.

In Baby news: I've been feeling the baby move! I'd say it feels like a flutter but not quite. More like lightly tapping a few keys on a piano. I know it's early for a first-time mom but I don't doubt that it's the baby I'm feeling. Certainly not like anything else I've felt before.

Additional Baby news: I went shopping at Motherhood Maternity last night. A friend and I ravaged the store. Actually she did the ravaging while I waited in the dressing room with the faux bump strapped to my waist. We had a LOT of fun. Giggling, laughing and making fun of most of the clothes. For $100 I ended up with 3 ribbed tanks (workout wear), black work capris, black fancy top for a possible occasion, 1 work top WITHOUT ties, and a belly band so I can wear my non-maternity clothes for a while longer. Everything was on sale. I plan on checking out Old Navy's maternity wear for more work, workout and casual clothes. Thankfully work is mostly casual anyway.
